01-04-10

Well today is officially day one of my body transformation. As of right now I can only change my diet since I have to wait to be released from my doctor to exercise. I am hoping he doesn't make me wait the full 6 weeks since I feel great and I can't wait to get back in the gym.

So far the diet isn't going too bad. I don't feel like I am starving to death so hopefully that stays that way. My carbs a bit high right now, but I am hoping the protein in my lunch will help off set that a bit.

As of yesterday I have lost 21 pounds just since giving birth on 12-29-09. Everyone is asking me what my secret is, but in all honesty there is no secret. I guess I was all baby and junk so when he came out I lost weight.

Well I guess that's all for now. I will update tonight with total calories consumed for the day.

And so it begins

We welcomed our new son into the world on Tuesday December 29, 2009. We couldn't be any more in love and now I am ready to begin my transformation. It will be a slow start since I can't exercise yet, but I plan to start by keeping my diet in check. Hopefully soon I will have something to report. Keep checking back to see what happens as time goes on.

Goals

These are my goals as of today. I am positive they will change as time goes on, but for now these are the main focus of my transformation.

  • Lose 100 pounds (long term goal)
  • Tone abs
  • Tone legs and butt
  • Tone arms
  • BEAT DIABETES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now like I said these goals will change and they will become more advanced as time goes on, but everyone has to start somewhere. This is my starting point.

Introduction

I am a 26 year old mom. Like a lot of Americans, I am overweight. With a family history of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease I need to do something. With kids and a husband who need me I have to be healthy.

This blog will include meal plans, exercise routines, reviews on products, and photos to show my progress.

My transformation will start sometime after the New Year, as I am currently pregnant. As soon as I am able to get back to the gym following labor and delivery I will get this blog really up and running.
